PurePlay Player's Club members are given a tournament rating that is a measure of how successful they are in PurePlay tournaments over time. The tournament rating is a score that is based on your multi-table tournament and sit & go tournament performance. It is constantly changing as you play more multi-table tournaments. Tournament ratings allow you to see how you're doing and track your progress as you become a better and better player.
The numerical value of your tournament rating is determined by a complex formula that takes into account primarily where you placed in your most recent multi-table and sit & go tournaments, relative to how many total people were in those events. To a lesser degree, the formula also takes into account all of your past ratings. You can find your tournament rating in the "My Stats" page after you log in to the poker software. Tournament Ratings are updated at least once every 24 hours. Your tournament rating then determines which Skill Level color you are.
Your Skill Level is determined by your Tournament Rating number. Skill Levels are divided into three groups defined by colors, starting at the Red level, then progressing to the Green level and finally to the Black level -- the highest color level. PurePlay runs special tournaments in which you can compete against players with the same Skill Level color as you.
As you play more tournaments, the size of the tournaments and how you place in these tournaments will determine whether your tournament rating and color level move up or down. In general, the better your performance, the higher your numerical Tournament Rating score and Skill Level color.
We plan to show you how you rank in relation to other Player's Club members, and what the highest ratings are.

When games involving cards and chance are played on a computer, it is vital that the electronic shuffles be just as fair and random as the real-world versions. Our software foundation includes sophisticated methods for random number generation and card shuffling to ensure fairness. This technology has been tested and certified by Technical Systems Testing Inc. You can see a copy of the certification letter here.

To register for a specific tournament, double click on that tournament and then click on the register button within the window that pops up. Click Here for more information.
Each tournament has entry conditions. To register for a tournament, you must have enough Poker Points for that specific tournament. If you double click on a tournament, the registration screen will tell you if Poker Points are needed for entry. In addition, some tournaments are Players Club tournaments. To find out more about how to upgrade to a PurePlay Player's Club membership as well as all of its benefits, Click Here.
Sit & Go tournaments can have a maximum of forty-five (45) players where all players begin with an equal number of chips. The stakes (antes, blinds) increase over time. Players are knocked out of the tournament as they lose all of their chips to other players. The winner is the player who eventually ends up with all of the chips on the table. Sit & Go tournaments will begin with exactly nine (9), eighteen (18), twenty-seven (27) or forty-five (45) players.
In a Multi-Table tournament, there can be multiple tables of players with a maximum of nine (9) players per table. Each player starts with an equal number of chips, unless otherwise noted in the tournament description. The stakes (antes, blinds) increase over time. Players are knocked out of the tournament as players lose all of their chips to their opponents. Remaining players are periodically re-assigned seats on other tables to keep tables full. This will eliminate tables over time until the last surviving players with chips remain at a final table. The eventual winner is the last player at the final table that ends up with all the chips.
Rebuy tournaments offer players the chance to add extra chips to their chip stack during the tournament . Rebuys can typically be made multiple times during the tournament when a player falls below a minimum number of chips, and can also be done when a player runs out of chips. There is usually a specific time period set when rebuys can be made, after which play would continue as usual without the possibility of rebuying chips.
During the first break of a rebuy tournament, players may also have the option to purchase an "add-on" allowing them to add more chips to their stack regardless of their current chip count.
After no further rebuys or add-ons are offered the tournament will then play out until the last player at the final table has all of the chips and wins the event.
